STEM lessons from the Wings Over Water Osprey education program

The lessons I will present connect technology to the natural world by allowing students to get hands one experience with the technologies that researchers use to study wild Ospreys. These technologies are familiar and accessible to students (airplane flight, GPS, drones), and allow students to connect authentic STEM research to their daily lives. Lessons are also integrated across life science, physical science, and engineering, as they mirror how researchers combine knowledge in these to solve problems and answer questions in STEM.
